Experience: 8+ Years
Job
Summary:
We
are seeking a seasoned Senior Hardware Design Engineer to contribute to the
development of telematics hardware systems for automotive applications. As a
key member of the hardware engineering team, you will be responsible for
designing and validating robust embedded hardware for vehicle connectivity,
diagnostics, and data acquisition. This role emphasizes hands-on design,
testing, and compliance with automotive standards.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop telematics
control units (TCUs) with integrated GPS, cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and
CAN interfaces.
- Define hardware architecture
and select Industrial/Automotive-grade components ensuring reliability
under harsh conditions (temperature, vibration, EMC).
- Perform schematic capture and
PCB layout reviews using tools such as Altium Designer.
- Conduct signal integrity
analysis, power distribution network design, and thermal management for
high-reliability operation.
- Validate hardware through
rigorous testing including RF performance, EMC/EMI compliance, and
environmental stress testing.
- Component selection, datasheet
evaluation, and lifecycle management.
Required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in
hardware design for automotive or industrial embedded systems.
- Strong knowledge of RF design,
antenna placement, and high-speed signal layout.
- Proficiency in using lab
equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network
analyzers.
- Familiarity with automotive
standards (ISO 26262, AEC-Q100, CISPR 25).
Preferred
Skills:
- Experience with GNSS modules,
LTE/5G modems, and RF shielding techniques.
- Knowledge of power supply
design including DC/DC converters and battery management.
- Exposure to design for
manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT).
- Understanding of reliability
engineering and failure mode analysis (FMEA).
